A few things to note. First, you might have noticed a recent news report that Disney World ticket prices were going up. It happens every August. The good news it that the ticket prices we’ve secured for you using the link above will remain active through the price change next Sunday.

It also means that I get to brag that we’re getting you an even deeper discount on ticket prices than we originally thought.

The biggest things to notice (besides the general discount) is the fact that you can purchase part-day tickets for Friday and Saturday. These would grant you admission at either 2pm or 4pm. We’ll be structuring the program so that you can duck out at those times if the last sessions don’t appeal to you.

That said, if you intend to stay and make this vacation (and will be visiting the park for 3+ days anyways), you’ll find the deepest discounts come from just buying a multi-day ticket that includes the days of the conference. I think the incremental cost is $16 per day (or something like that) and the part-day ticket is $50.

Airport Transfers

As you begin booking air travel (if that’s relevant to you), remember that this conference (and Disney in general) offers complimentary transfers to your Disney-property hotel via its Magical Express service.

I should be receiving a link that I can share that will allow you to make your Magical Express reservation right online. If it doesn’t, I’ll remind you to contact the group reservation desk and reserve your spot on the Magical Express.

For those of you who have never used this service, the Magical Express is a third-party bus service that greets you in Orlando International Airport, checks you onto your bus, and whisks you away to your hotel. Your luggage follows you and hour or two later (so make sure you have what you need to get started on your trip – whether it’s a bathing suit or “park-wear.”) and is placed in your room for you. It’s a great service for those of you traveling with family, especially if you intend to take advantage of some time at the park. Once you check into your hotel and receive your Key To The World (your hotel room key and theme park admission ticket), you’re off on your adventure.

Theme Park Tickets

Speaking of the Theme Parks, if you’re planning on partaking (and are not an annual passholder), wait to book your admission tickets until I give you more information. This group reservation includes some discounts on tickets (like the part-day admission tickets) and it’s going to be best if you wait to book that part of your trip until I give you some more information.

As soon as I can, I’m going to provide you with that information, because I know that some of you want to begin booking dining reservations for the trip.

I’ll try to give some hints on park fun, like dining reservations, as soon as I finish piecing together the logistics on the event itself.

Bonus Information – Possibly a FREE Disney Dining Plan

I have ZERO information on the compatibility of this offer with the conference hotel room rate, but Disney Rewards Visa is offering a FREE Disney Dining Plan for trips booked using this card and it’s available during when we’re supposed to be there.

There are different levels of the plan available and, as advertised, those people staying in moderate-level hotels (like the Coronado Springs Resort) are eligible for the Dining Plan that gives you 1 table service meal, 1 counter service meal, and 1 snack per day. I’ll let you take a look at the Disney Dining Plan here to learn what that all means.

In the meantime, I’m looking into whether the offer applies to this conference. So, don’t hold me to anything quite yet.

To book your room, simply call 407.939.1020 and tell him that you’re booking under “MILOfest.” I’ve set aside just 30 rooms for this event. The reason is that I’m on the hook for any unused rooms, etc. So, while there is a chance that I can/will expand the room block, the truth is that I’m not going to want to expand it past the known number of registrants.

The room rate is $129/night at the Coronado Springs Resort. That rate is valid from 3 days before through 3 days after the event. So, if you’re thinking about turning this into a vacation (and enjoying those Acai’berry Smoothies that Larry Port is promising), go ahead and book the entire stay at the Coronado Springs.
